What began with Fernando Ortega’s deep passion for olive oil and the Mediterranean way of life now finds new strength in his two sons, Fernando and Alejandro. As the fourth generation of producers, they carry forward not only the knowledge of their Spanish roots but also the vision and energy shaped by their American experience. Together, they embody the bridge between two cultures, ensuring that the values of tradition, authenticity, and quality remain alive while opening the door to new opportunities. ILOVEACEITE Spain
ILOVEACEITE was founded in 2009 in Spain, dedicated to the production, distribution, and promotion of extra virgin olive oil and other Mediterranean products. Based in Jaén, in the heart of Andalusia—the world’s largest olive oil-producing region—the brand is committed to quality, authenticity, and education about olive oil culture. ILOVEACEITE works directly with farmers and producers to ensure traceability, high standards, and the preservation of traditional practices while also innovating in marketing and customer experience. It became one of the first Spanish companies to embrace digital platforms and social media to promote olive oil globally.
ILOVEACEITE US
ILOVEACEITE US was established in 2016 in San Antonio, Texas, as the American expansion of the Spanish brand. Built from scratch in a highly competitive market, the company introduced authentic extra virgin olive oil and Mediterranean gastronomy to U.S. consumers through direct sales, events, and culinary experiences. The brand has participated in food festivals, cultural events, and community initiatives, positioning itself as a bridge between Spain’s olive oil tradition and the American lifestyle. In 2023, ILOVEACEITE US won the Paella Challenge Texas in the “Classic Paella” category, further strengthening its reputation as an ambassador of Mediterranean culture in the U.S.
Our grandfather
Following the grand tradition of Spanish olive oil, the company has a heritage dating back to 1950 when Founder Fernando R. Ortega’s grandfather, Francisco Ortega, began work in the olive oil business.
For over 60 years, the Ortega family has produced 100 percent authentic extra virgin Spanish olive oil.
In 2009, third-generation olive oil producer Ortega, an attorney by trade, combined his Spanish heritage and passion for entrepreneurship to start ILOVEACEITE.
